It’s not infrastructural: Auckland Transport Summer Cycling Programme

Looking for some cycling fun? Riding to work not (yet) an option for your partner / kids / novice cyclist? Rode that bike into a rut, and looking for good ideas to get out?

Why don’t you have a look at Auckland Transport’s Summer Cycling Programme (or see the Event Guide directly – PDF file, 5MB). The number of events is really quite amazing, and even the names sound rather cool:

And of course, Cycle Style will be back after a year’s hiatus!

There’s lots more, and all thanks to the enthusiasm of some of Auckland Transport staff like Debbie Lang and her coworkers, who are keen to get everybody on their bikes.

    • Too much goodness in that booklet Max, thanks for the link. Recreational cycling is certainly healthy in Auckland, we just need to get them riding down to the shops occasionally.
