Now this is something you don’t see everyday, and certainly not from your car.
I was riding home from work this afternoon and stumbled upon these four fellas having a dip in our local rock-pools. They were “rescued” birds and get taken for a swim each day until they are in good enough shape to be released back into the wild.
Bicycle commuting always scores highly in my book but today was a 10/10. It doesn’t get much better.

Amazing experience & not one that you'd expect in Auckland.
Thanks for sharing.
Your fat tire? is that a Surly ? because I'm in the market for a fat tire & I'm looking at options, your opinion of the bike?
Ignore part of that comment, it's a Pugsly so yes, it's a Surly.
@Hurben
Yes, it's a Surly Pugsley. Quite frankly I'm still in love with this bike after 5 years.
Fat-bikes are not for everyone. They are pretty expensive, especially the rims and tyres, and are a little on the heavy side unless you go for lots of lightweight bling. But they can go where others can't, they are so comfortable and so much fun. No need for suspension when you have 4 or 5 inch tyres!
I built mine for beach-riding but use it for trail riding, kid-hauling and just scooting around the neighbourhood too. Even the odd work-commute like in the post above.
Lots of pictures of mine here:
