Seldom happier than when riding his bike, Antoine sniffs out bicycle-art from around the world for his Friday Frivolity posts or “reinterprets” logos himself. His own cycling adventures can be found on Bike Friendly North Shore, a bike-culture blog for those north of the Coathanger.

    • I turned up late at a meeting because I had to go via Wynyard Wharf – where as I was cycling along I should bump into friends, twice! so stopped and chatted… cycling – keeps friendships going…

    • Yes, that's what I was getting at Chris. You get the opportunity to meet people on a bike. Stop on a dime for a chat, no parking hassles and you're usually in a better mood too. People can barely see your face in a car.

    • Hi guys! I was wondering if you possibly knew anyone in the Mt Eden area, anywhere near here, who I could cycle with ! Im new to Auckland and loving exploring but would just Love to have a cycle buddy – so many cycle groups are north shore based :( would prefer a local rider to join. Any tips or where to find someone? Thanks!! Chloe
