Bike share in China

Here is a very interesting video from Street Films on ‘The Biggest, Baddest Bike-Share in the World: Hangzhou China

Anyone talking about public transport, should also be talking about bike share. You’ll notice that the commentator says that they have a lot of public transport but that this doesn’t solve the ‘last mile’ problem.

Also interesting to note, that in all of the people riding bicycles, I think I saw just one wearing a helmet. The reason is obvious – why would you want to carry a helmet all day for the 15 minutes a day you are on a bicycle? Helmet laws and bike share just don’t mix.
