I have to admit to an ulterior motive for the latest poll ‘What is your preferred/predominant cycle style?’ I was really quite keen to know who our readers are …. so here are the results.
Out of 348 voters,
36% answered ‘None, just everyday clothes’
17% answered ‘Lycra, sports’
16% answered ‘Commuter, fluoro’
16% answered ‘Personal style – metro, retro, elegant …’
8% answered ‘Off road, muddy’
4% answered ‘BMX, fixie, single speed ‘looks’
3% answered ‘Other’ (these included things such as ‘off road but not muddy’ … perhaps a very careful mountain biker or a pavement cyclists?)
By my reckoning, adding up the non-sports categories, that means that well over half of you wear normal everyday clothes on your bikes!!
That's funny, I read the same stats and the thing that jumped out at me was 25% of the respondents are sports cyclists! Nice to know it's a varied readership and the roadie and mountainbike crowd are part of the team.
was there a means of ensuring no-one voted twice?
