Just walk around me!!

It’s official.  New Zealand is the third best place to live in the whole wide world.  That’s something to be proud of.  And imagine where we would be in the rankings if we had a transport system that was efficient and sustainable?

I’m just saying.  I’m not trying to bring the party down or anything.

    • It is great that it got such a good rating, but i agree, it could be even better and sustainable transport systems really are the way forward.

    • Many times kiwis ask me why I left Italy, it's a beautiful country, etc… then I see Italy falling down the rankings with its stupidity and I know I did the right choice. A better public transport in Nz would help close the gap with Australia, it's just a bit late.

    • I just love it Mark! and your photo certainly backs up one of my guiding principles – actions/images speak louder than words!

Sometimes you don't need to say anything … just look good on your bicycle!

    • who voted?
Again we see in the papers / news that cyclists are mown down by useless kiwi drivers who then have the audacity to blame it on the cyclist.
New Zealand is a 3rd world country with a lot of red neck angry people in it (especially Auckland).
This comment may sound angry – it is. I'm disgusted by the lack of responsibilty drivers take over here and the lack of action taken by authorities. INSURANCE SHOULD BE COMPULSORY for motorists – and for all those pro helmet lobbyists…. helmets offered absolutely no protection for those cyclists that were injured/killed. Rant over.

    • the judges were certainly not on a bike when they cast their votes. I encourage all decent citizens to rise up and voice their anger in a constructive way…join cycle action. Join us!
