I lost two bike lights in as many weeks. My front light was the first to go—stolen whilst parked at the Viaduct last week. Then yesterday, the rear light came off flying down a bit too fast over a speed hump and was smashed to bits by the car behind me. Sad, sad face. Good thing I carry backup lights! Daylights savings couldn’t come fast enough.

Love your links, I always read them!
Sorry to hear about your lights. My cute basket-fastening device pinged off on Queen Street yesterday, so I share your sorrow.
Thanks Ruth! ^_^
I hope your basket mount is not expensive to replace
I enjoy these linkpiles too. I might have to copy the idea for the BFNS blog.
Looked at your link to the LA Mayor falling off his bike and crushing an elbow.
When I was last in LA, we went out to Manhattan Beach. The cycleway there, along the beachfront is just magnificant. What a pity our Tamaki drive waterfront has not got such a cycleway. However, we don't have residential houses right down on the foreshore (yet) either.
If I was able to post a pix on this website I would show you!
And I love the music that accompanies the Coke ad for getting grand-dads to ride bikes.
Most of the other cyclists I see out on the road when I go for my early Sat morning bike ride are 'grey' geysers (with super bikes and flashy gear). And they even say hi to me! There is a lovely culture of 'togetherness' out there in Auckland land.
