The local government shake-up being forced upon us has made me ponder this very question. I normally float quite happily in a cloud of political apathy but with a new Sheriff and Deputies about to ride down Queen Street I don’t want cycling issues pushed aside in a town traditionally run on horsepower.
So what would make Auckland super? You’ll have to make up your own mind on that but you can be damn sure it’s not more motorways and car parks.

Where do I get the t-shirt from??
I like it, Pohutukawa stamen spokes making the wheel we call Auckland eh!
Hmm, you seemed to have missed the obvious… where can we buy this??
I WANT ONE!!!
Antoine are these for sale?
This one is popular. The photo is a fake, I was just playing around with the logo. No such t-shirt exists.
Are there any bike-friendly t-shirt printers in the CIA cartel?
I reckon ESP opposite T Whites Bikes will be into it http://www.esponline.co.nz
the new gang patch.
Can I join the gang?
Mark- Join? You are one of the ringleaders, and us the foot soldiers. Sorry it's the Godfather trilogy i just watched. Don't watch Godfather 3 by the way.
Hello Mike
As you can see from the comments in the post there are no plans to produce a t-shirt. I am thrilled people like the design but almost regret showing a mock-up of it on a shirt as I don't have the means (money) to get any printed.
Perhaps Cycle Action would like to bank-roll the project as a fundraiser? I would be glad to organize artwork for a screenprinter.
The trouble with such a niche design would be having to print 50-100 shirts to make that part of the process economical and ending up stuck with 88 unsold! You would probably have to charge NZD$30 and times are tough at the moment.

Antione,
that idea for a shirt is fantastic.
You must get some printed.
They will sell like hot cakes.
Start by selling one to me.
Well done,
rgds, martin
I hear David Slack's going to take up this task?
Due to unprecedented demand it looks as if we may well be printing some T-Shirts after all ;^)
The CIA cronies are discussing it as part of our lead-up to the Super City elections.
Stay tuned.
Coooooool t-shirt! I want it!
When you get the shirts done, I'll take two.
If you want cash up front that's good too.
Great logo
I'd also be keen for this shirt!
This little charmer has muted my ambivalence over the official ak logo, whose big selling point for me personally so far has been that it's an improvement on it's predecessor, that being a sliver above the utter aesthetic nadir of the Westfield Mall chain logo. So, please 'Print them and they will come'. OR just run some advance orders – and if we have to pay upfront and wait a week or two, so be it. XL for me please.
I'll add my order
Desperately seeking T-shirt…
Hope the new Super Powers will be this creative!
Great designs
definitely love the T-Shirt – I'd he happy to exchange some dollars to own one !
Thanks Leanne, Julian and tvf, I'm looking forward to seeing how they turned out too.
There will be some for sale at the ETA launch on Sunday and it would be great if they all sell out. Cycle Action Auckland is only looking to cover costs but I would like them to make some money out of the venture. Bike advocacy doesn't come cheap ;^)
Hi
I would like to purchase an XOS – where can I do this?
Where can I get them please? Or can I order by post?
THanks K
I couldn't make the Sunday meeting…can I still buy the T??
Leanne
I've emailed the CAA guys to see if there are any left.
Those wanting a shirt can refer to the following post on CIA for the designs and contact details:
